Is Your Business Actually Prepared?

Why we recommend a minimum of 2-3 certified staff per shift

OSHA standards generally require at least one trained responder on-site, but relying on a single CPR-certified employee is a liability if that person isn't immediately reachable.

By certifying a small team, you ensure a life-saving response is always seconds away and your workplace is always in compliance, even when your primary responder is on vacation, out sick or on a lunch break.

Workplace Safety Audit:

OSHA compliance is the starting point, but true safety requires redundancy.

Use this quick audit to see if your team is ready for a real-world emergency.

  • The "Vacation" Test: If your primary safety officer went on a 2-week vacation tomorrow, does someone on every shift still know how to perform CPR and use an AED?

  • The "3-Minute" Rule:  Can a certified responder reach any corner of your office or job site within 60 seconds? (Brain death begins after just 4 minutes without oxygen; waiting for an ambulance in Florida traffic is often too late)

  • The Florida AED Requirement: If you have an AED on-site, are at least two people on every shift trained to use it? Florida Statute 768.1325 suggests that having the devise without trained operators can be a liability risk.

  • The "Resignation" Buffer: Do you have enough certified staff (we recommend a 3:1 ratio) so that if one person quits or is fired, your business doesn't fall out of OSHA compliance overnight?

  • The Good Samaritan Awareness: Does your staff know they are protected under the Florida Good Samaritan Act? (Knowing they are legally shielded from liability encourages them to act quickly without fear).
